hello moon.
body logic: 11 May 2005, 5:35 pm.
I had a breakthrough of sorts today. Or perhaps 'epiphany' is the word i'm looking for.

Skinny girls look nice in clothing. I assume this must be in part because the fashion industry designs it for them. But then you get them unclothed. And while there is something fascinating the transluscense of bone pressing against skin; and while every human body is strange; and while skin invites itself to be touched, no matter what form it is stretched over; still in the end it is sadly disappointing. It is a fascination that leads to scrutiny, not consumption.

The rest of us girls on the other hand, clothing looks rotten on us. It bunches and wrinkles and twists. It's like there's a burst of body underneath panting to get out. Unclothed we are resplendent. Unclothed we are still clothed in soft begging flesh and there is blood and life underneath.

By which all I mean to say: at some point I crossed the line from being more comfortable with my body clothed to unclothed. The logic of me isn't quite right when there is fabric binding.
