i tried to listen to Gillian Welch today on the way to work, but my cd player is being screwy. actually might just be running out of batteries. i hope this is the case, because its a nice cd player and i'm attached to it and i spent way too much money on it for it to go and break now.

i want to make a mixtape now, as i've been all the recieving them and thinking about them and etc. i need to make a very upbeat one. i also want to make one that tells a story. but then, i want everything i make to tell a story.

its my mom's birthday on saturday, her 50th, and so we're throwing her a party and everything, which means going back to lansing. i will see my parents and etc. it will be nice. i've been going to lansing a Lot the past 3 or 4 months, but this is good, because i really like my family. i'm really glad i have such a good relationship with my parents.

so, i don't have to go to work until noon tomorrow, as opposed to the 7.30 of the rest of this week, so i feel obligated to stay up late and do something fun. problem is, i don't know what.
