short epitaph: 27 July 2004, 1:51 am.

Finding myself antsy tonight. Unsleeping. Sitting on the edge of an unslempt bed, turning back the covers but not crawling in. Wandering up to the kitchen and opening the refrigerator. Closing the refrigerator. Writing a few lines and then erasing them. Opening a blank document and writing a few different lines. Closing it without saving. Picking up a pen and drawing neat lines on yellow and green paper. Writing notes to myself in grease pencil on the mirror. Picking up around my room. Trying to help the cat re-catch the mouse. Leafing through a book, putting it down. Picking up another. The emptiness of late-at-night.
