other information given to me pre-concert:

"my friend said that they are like the 'Red Hot Chili Peppers'"

Moldavia: they were in fact from Moldavia. Ska: They did have a horn section and the lead singer was wearing a fedora. RHCP: The lead singer took his shirt off for the second half of the concert. Folk: they had a moldavian drum and moldavian pipe/flute thingummy.

the verdict: overall a quite enjoyable concert. The flutist guy was very good. i'm glad that the RHCP comparison went no further than the shirtless-ness of the lead singer. I, however, definately did not have the energy for it. The fourth shot and the russian L&M did help matters.
